Passion and focus
My name is Andy, and I love knives. And food. At the crossroads of both, are culinary cutlery.
I am a maker and a craftsman, who at heart wants nothing more than to create beautiful things. I am inspired by the drive and passion that modern chefs have for their craft, and it is my aim to provide them with elegant tools with which to transform ingredients into art.
My main design style draws inspiration from Japanese cutlery, I am drawn to the clean lines and crisp geometry that has been setting the standard for culinary professionals for decades. I enjoy adding my own spin to this aesthetic with premium materials and creative design choices.
I work out of my small shop in Thornton Colorado. With all of 30 sq ft, it is humble, but it gets the job done. I am a Colorado native, but have spent time in Seattle and Wyoming, and had family in New York City for more than a decade. Fine dining in Manhattan opened my eyes to the expanse of the culinary world, and blossomed my desire to be a part of it.
